Purpose Statement

To optimise service delivery of Merchant Collections through the management of the Merchant Collections team and operational activities.


2-3 yrs. experience of a leadership or management role in a collections environment
Experience in a role which required delegation, quality assurance and validating work
Qualifications (Minimum)

Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
A relevant tertiary qualification in Banking or Credit Management
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management


Sound knowledge of the collections environment including relevant legislation and regulations
Sound knowledge of collection of returned debit orders
Principles of customer service
Acquiring knowledge (merchant processes etc.) and the merchant environment
Customer Relationship Management
Stakeholder relationship engagement and management
Responsibility for delivery in a fast moving environment
